0.23 T Open MRI
Magnetic resonance imaging cannot be used on a large number of patients: claustrophobic or anxious patients, people overweight and children.Luckily scientific research and new construction technologies enabled the creation of new machines open on three sides, able to meet the needs of patients with such problems. The exam is carried out following the same procedure of a normal MRI and has the same contraindications. The fact that the patient is free and not closed inside a ‘capsule’ allows doctors to put the patient’s arms, knees, shoulders, backbone, muscles and skeleton in different positions. Open MRI scans are performed on small, medium and large joints, backbone, encephalon, auditory canal. |
